How to fix a broken favicon - keatonpausay

A couple years past, I fired upwardly my Web web browser to let on that my Facebook "favicon" (the emotional picture that appears on the favorites toolbar true below the turn to bar) had altered.

In place of that familiar little blue "f," I was looking at some gray approximation of a sailboat sail. I'm not sure how it happened Beaver State wherefore, but fortunately all my other favicons looked ticket.

Needless to read, I wanted to restore the Facebook icon to normal. But how? I tried word-perfect-clicking the icon in search of some related setting, finding Edit the only credible choice. Nope, nothing useful there.

Past I took to the Web, searching for articles on fixing busted favicons in Google Chrome, but found surprisingly little information on the subject. Apparently I could wipe the integral favicons database and then resume Chrome, but that seemed a little intense—and I'd have to revisit every bookmarked site to cause its favicon to reload.

This seemed like such a tiny problem, and yet there didn't seem to be a desex. Crazy!

Then my palm instinctively went to my forehead equally I figured out the apparent solution. (Be honest: Did you already guess it aside in real time?) I deleted the favicon, went back to Facebook, then created a new 1 (by dragging the ikon from the left edge of the address bar to favorites toolbar). Presto: fixed.

Yes, I am justifiedly mortified for dominating much a simple resolution. Sometimes we in the tech game get so wrapped up in nitty-spunky troubleshooting, we forget the software equivalent of, "Make a point it's plugged in." Or, in this case, "Disconnect it, then plug it dorsum in."
